Set your water heater to 120°F: You’ll prevent burns, even if baby accidentally turns the hot water faucet. Test bath water the same way you test the temperature of a bottle of milk. The water should feel cold or hot to your wrist.
Put down a rubber mat on the bottom of the tub to avoid slipping.
Fill the tub only a few inches deep.
Use a soft washcloth and a mild soap.
Keep a hand on your baby as much as possible and never leave baby alone, even for a minute.
Move all electric items, like hair dryers, away from the tub.
Empty all water from a bathtub immediately after use.
