Living with a newborn, you’re likely losing out on sleep, which can affect your health, mood, and ability to get through the day. Here are a few things you can do to catch up:
- Listen to Your Body: For once, leave the laundry. Ask someone else to make you dinner and clean up the house.
- Nap When Baby Naps: Use your baby’s schedule as your own. When he or she goes down for a nap, so do you
- Share Feedings: Let a partner or a relative feed the baby a bottle of pumped breast milk or formula while you lie down. Let dad get in some quality time while you rest. This is good for everyone!
- Just Lie Down: Even if you’re not able to sleep, get off your feet, close your eyes, and try to clear your mind.
